What are webcams?
Webcams capture images from a fixed location to be streamed live across the Internet. This broadcast can be placed on your website for public viewing or set up as a password protected facility for private viewing.
Our cameras range from high powered, robust, all weather webcams with pan, tilt and zoom functions to small, concealed units depending on the project requirements. We have installed webcams of every type and size, from large models on the roofs of tower blocks right down to tiny concealed cameras in bird boxes and even under-water cameras in a pond.
How Do Webcams Work?
- Our cameras are mounted on a suitable surface overlooking the area of interest.
- The received signal is converted to a format suitable for live streaming over the Internet.
- After which we incorporate this into the design of your website so it can be broadcast live to the public or viewed privately.
- Higher end cameras have features (pan, tilt, zoom) which can be controlled by a joystick or remotely via controls embedded in your website.
- Following the set up procedure we offer full support and 24 hour fault monitoring.
